Installing the monitor stand requires using the included screwdriver to affix it to the VESA mount. The monitor boasts a simple yet elegant design, exuding a professional aesthetic. While it doesn’t overtly scream “gaming monitor,” stickers on the lower left front highlight key features such as its 170 Hz refresh rate, IPS display, ViewMode, Blue Light Filter, Flicker Free, and DisplayPort connectivity.

On the back, a joystick facilitates interaction with the monitor settings, while the monitor’s ports include two HDMI ports, DisplayPort, audio jack, and power port. Additionally, instead of textual branding, ViewSonic incorporates three Gouldian finches on the monitor’s center chin.

The stand offers full adjustment capabilities, including height, swivel, pivot, and tilt angles, providing users with ergonomic flexibility.

The Monitor Settings

Navigating the ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO’s settings is facilitated by a joystick, which reveals two menus upon pressing. The quick menu options include ViewMode, Contrast/Brightness, Input Select, Main Menu, and Exit. However, consolidating these functions with the adjacent menu could enhance user convenience.

Accessing the main menu unveils comprehensive settings such as Input Select, Audio Adjust, ViewMode, Color Adjust, Manual Image Adjust, and Setup Menu.

Color adjustments encompass Color Brightness, 6-Axis Color, Color Temperature, Color Mode, Color Space, Color Range, and HDR10. Manual Image Adjustments include Sharpness, Blue Light Filter, Aspect Ratio, Overscan, Black Stabilization, Advanced DCR, and Response Time. The Display

The ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO sports a 27” IPS panel with a 170 Hz refresh rate and a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Notable features include a swift 1ms MPRT, variable refresh rate, HDR10, flicker-free technology, and a blue light filter. Its display surface incorporates an Anti-Glare and Hard Coating (3H) to mitigate reflections.

Our testing with DataColor SpyderX Pro confirmed its color gamut specifications, achieving 100% sRGB, 86% AdobeRGB, 94% DCI-P3, and 84% NTSC. These results indicate decent color accuracy suitable for photo and video editing alongside immersive gaming experiences.

The default display gamma of 2.4 delivers rich blacks and enhanced contrast. The monitor peaks at 344 nits brightness, with a minimum of 17 nits. Contrast ratio stands at 740:1, with a white point of 7000, indicating a cooler tone.

At maximum brightness, slight light bleeding is noticeable along the monitor’s edges.

Utilizing the UFO test, we evaluated the monitor’s motion clarity, which, bolstered by its IPS panel and 170 Hz refresh rate, proved commendable.
