SAMA L70 240 AIO Liquid Cooler Review

SAMA L70 Liquid Coolers review img

I first heard about the SAMA brand this year when they entered the Philippine market and had the chance to meet them at COMPUTEX 2025. However, SAMA has actually been in the industry since 2003, providing OEM and ODM services. Now, they’re aiming to establish their own brand in the market.

We had the opportunity to review one of their latest products, the SAMA L70 series liquid cooler. Our unit is the 240 mm version, though a 360 mm variant is also available.

The Unboxing

The SAMA L70 comes in a box featuring the product image, brand, and model name on the front, while the back displays its specifications.

Inside the box, the cooler is securely placed in egg crate-style packaging. The radiator comes with pre-installed fans, which is convenient since you don’t have to set them up yourself. You’ll also find a pouch containing all the necessary accessories, including thermal paste and mounting brackets. Finally, the user manual is included, providing step-by-step instructions for installing the cooler.

The Design

The SAMA L70 series is available in two sizes, 240mm and 360mm, and in black or white variants. The unit we received is the 240 mm black version.

Starting with the radiator of the SAMA L70 240mm, it measures 277 x 120 x 27 mm. With the included fan adding 28 mm, the total thickness comes to 55 mm, which is within standard limits. The fin density is typical, allowing for efficient heat dissipation through 12 internal water channels.

The cooler comes with two 120 mm fans, each featuring a 7-blade design and hydraulic bearings, capable of 800–2200 RPM. Rubber anti-vibration mounts are placed on the fans to reduce vibration. The fans are ARGB, requiring connection to an ARGB header, and are PWM-powered for precise speed control.

The tubing uses FEP material, offering excellent resistance to kinks and wear, and is wrapped in an outer braided sleeve for a premium look and feel. Tube clamps are included to simplify installation and ensure secure adjustments.

The water block features a high-transparency acrylic shell with a chamfered infinity mirror design, creating a layered, immersive lighting effect with a futuristic depth.

For CPU contact, the cooler has a refined copper base that is 1.5mm thick. This enhances the thermal interface, accelerating heat dissipation and helping maintain optimal CPU temperatures under heavy loads.

The Installation

Installing the SAMA L70 is fairly easy, especially if you follow the user manual. However, there are plenty of wires, so you’ll need to spend some time tidying them up to keep your build looking clean and organized.

The mounting accessories are clearly labeled, so there’s no need to guess. As long as you read the manual, you won’t have any issues with the installation.

The Performance

In our testing with the Intel Core i5-12400, the SAMA L70 effectively kept our 65W chip cool. We don’t have the proper tools to measure fan noise, but based on our experience, it’s barely noticeable even when running at full speed. Even under maximum load, the fan noise remains unobtrusive and won’t distract you during gaming sessions.

SAMA L70 240mm Verdict

The SAMA L70 AIO liquid cooler stands out as a budget-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on performance or aesthetics. Its quiet operation, sleek design, and straightforward installation make it an excellent choice for mid-range gaming PCs and content creation systems. The only minor drawback is the cable management, which requires some attention to achieve a clean, organized build.
