South Korea will be bringing Quality Games here in Southeast Asia
Gyeonggi Content Agency, a provincial South Korean government agency that represents the Gyeonggi Province, has partnered with Elite Games Inc. to bring quality games from South Korea to the Southeast Asia. Elite games Inc., a premier service provider based in Seoul, South Korea, with regional operations based in the Philippines, introduced 4 new mobile games in Southeast Asia. The Philippines will get the spot to be the pioneers for these new titles, and many more to come later down the road.
The partnership was announced during the Philippine-Korea Video Game Cooperation Conference last December 1, 2017 at the Marco Polo Hotel.
Game support and development is one of the uprising tech industries in the Philippines. Today, we have companies working on AAA game titles like Gears of War 4 from Microsoft Studios, Assassin’s Creed series from Ubisoft, and many more.
Elite Games Inc. will provide regional publishing services for the following mobile games:
- Joy Planet
- Next Exit
- Velator
- Fantasy Tales.
The games will officially be launched early December 2017.
The partnership will also provide a bilateral exchange of business, expertise, and technology between South Korea, the Philippines, as well as the rest of Southeast Asia. It also aims to help local educational institutions mold the future of the gaming industry by adapting to the ever-changing needs of the industry and its player base.
Moreover, the aim is to create an ecosystem of young professionals that are ready to cater in Southeast Asia, specifically in the Philippines, as a global leader and hub of the global gaming industry.
